This roller sits at an angle.  The illustration is taken from the side of the roller to show the angle. A hand rolled ball of clay can be placed under the top end of the roller (the high side) on a work surface, the roller moved back and forth, and the resulting shape will be cone or teardrop.  Teardrop is best achieved by starting with an oval shape, cone shape can be achieved by starting with round clay.  Please see our tutorial for further tips on use of this product, click this link.
